Durchschnittlich konnte die Serie pro Folge 230.000 Zuschauer verzeichnen und erhielt durchwegs positive Kritiken. Nun soll eine zweite Staffel, die aus 14 Episoden bestehen wird, erscheinen. Diese wird auf einem komplett neuen Handlungsstrang aufbauen und somit auch auf neuen Charakteren basieren. W\u00c3\u00a4hrend sie hart arbeitet um sich in die Firma zu integrieren, \u00c3\u00a4ndert sich ihr Fokus schnell als eine ihrer Kommilitonen sie in die Welt der Callgirls \u00e2\u20ac\u017eThe Girlfriend Experience\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 einf\u00c3\u00bchrt. Wie bereits bei Staffel eins von The Girlfriend Experience \u00c3\u00bcbernimmt Soderbergh gemeinsam mit Philip Fleishman, Jeff Cuban, Lodge Kerrigan und Amy Seinmetz die Rolle der Executive Producer.
