The Departed wurde 2006 ver\u00c3\u00b6ffentlicht, k\u00c3\u00b6nnte vier Oscar gewinnen und wurde von Martin Scorsese erschaffen. Die neue Serie wird von Amazon Studios in Zusammenarbeit mit Vertigo Entertainment, Plan B Entertainment und der Initial Entertainment Group produziert \u00e2\u20ac\u201c diese Studios haben bereits beim gleichnamigen Film mitgewirkt. Inspiriert vom Film, so wird sich auch die The Departed-Serie dem Doppelagenten-Thema bedienen. Die Szenerie soll sich zudem nicht in Boston abspielen, sondern im heutigen Chicago. Die Handlung k\u00c3\u00b6nnte zudem f\u00c3\u00bcr ordentlich Spannung sorgen: Ein junger Polizist wird in eine gnadenlose Latinogang eingeschleust und diese scheust ihrerseits einen eignen Mann bei der Polizei ein. Beide M\u00c3\u00a4nner versuchen nun ihre Mission erfolgreich und lebendig abzuschlie\u00c3\u0178en. Der Amazon Pilot wird von Jason Richman (Lucky 7, Detroit 1-8-7) geschrieben. Dieser ist zudem gemeinsam mit Graham King, Doug Davison, Roy Lee, Jeremy Kleiner, Tripp Vinson, Sarah Esberg, Gianni Nunneri, Michael Connolly und Dede Gardner als Executive Producer eingesetzt. Wann die neue Serie auf Amazon Prime erscheint, ist noch nicht bekannt.
