Der Einbau in rund 250 Z\u00c3\u00bcge der ICE-Einsatzflotte ist jetzt gestartet und wird bis Jahresende 2016 abgeschlossen sein. Die ICE werden hierbei mit der derzeit modernsten WLAN-Technik der schwedischen Firma Icomera ausgestattet (Multiprovider-Technik). Diese greift auf die jeweils schnellsten Datennetze (LTE, UMTS) aller Mobilfunknetze zu und kann durch intelligentes B\u00c3\u00bcndeln der Netzbetreiberkapazit\u00c3\u00a4ten bedeutend h\u00c3\u00b6here Datenvolumen verarbeiten. Die zur Verf\u00c3\u00bcgung stehende Bandbreite im Zug ist abh\u00c3\u00a4ngig von der Leistungsf\u00c3\u00a4higkeit der Mobilfunknetze. Die neue Technik ist Voraussetzung daf\u00c3\u00bcr, dass die DB ab Dezember 2016 den Internetzugang \u00c3\u00bcber WLAN auch in der 2. Klasse kostenlos anbieten kann, bis zu einem gewissen Datenvolumen auch besonders schnell. Insgesamt investiert die Deutsche Bahn rund 100 Millionen Euro in das neue WLAN sowie neue Mobilfunk-Repeater im ICE. Die umger\u00c3\u00bcsteten Z\u00c3\u00bcge sind an einem neuen WLAN-Logo zu erkennen. \u00e2\u20ac\u017eDamit alle Reisenden gerecht und ausgewogen auf das bestm\u00c3\u00b6gliche Angebot zugreifen k\u00c3\u00b6nnen, verteilt das System die verf\u00c3\u00bcgbaren Bandbreiten der Mobilfunknetze m\u00c3\u00b6glichst gleichm\u00c3\u00a4\u00c3\u0178ig unter den Fahrg\u00c3\u00a4sten\u00e2\u20ac\u0153, sagt Dr. Michael Peterson, Vorstand Marketing DB Fernverkehr. Die Details dieser \u00e2\u20ac\u017eFair Use Policy\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 werden derzeit abgestimmt. Aktuell f\u00c3\u00bchrt die DB dazu Kundentests in einigen ICE-Z\u00c3\u00bcgen durch. \u00e2\u20ac\u017eWir freuen uns darauf, ab Dezember unseren Kunden das lang erwartete kostenlose WLAN in der 2.
