Kevin James wird f\u00c3\u00bcr seine Fans und selbst f\u00c3\u00bcr Gelegenheitszuschauer wohl immer als King of Queens \u00c3\u00bcber die Bildschirmfl\u00c3\u00a4che wandeln. Dass der der Komiker, Schauspieler, Synchronsprecher und Drehbuchautor aus New York jedoch mehr kann und auch schon 25 jahre Filmgeschichte hinter sich hat, wird beeindruckend klar, wenn man sich einmal seine bisherige Filmografie zu Gem\u00c3\u00bcte f\u00c3\u00bchrt. <b>Update am 19.09.2017:<\/b> Amazon hat eine zweite Staffel der Serie best\u00c3\u00a4tigt. Mit \u00c3\u00bcber 13 Millionen US-Zuschauer allein bei der Pilotfolge der ersten Staffel Kevin Can Wait, wurde ebenfalls bewiesen, dass der Kult-Komiker noch lange nicht zum alten Eisen geh\u00c3\u00b6rt. In Deutschland und \u00c3\u2013sterreich ist Staffel 1 derzeit \u00c3\u00bcber Amazon Prime Video verf\u00c3\u00bcgbar. Die Serie hat zahlreiche prominente Gastdarsteller zu bieten, darunter Adam Sandler und Billy Joel. Dass Kevin James bei seiner Sitcom nicht nur die Hauptrolle spielt, sondern neben Rock Reuben und Bruce Helford auch Regie und Showrunner-Dasein ausf\u00c3\u00bcllt ist, war zu erwarten. Ob die neue Sitcom eine Fortsetzung erhalten wird, wurde bisher allerdings noch nicht verk\u00c3\u00bcndet. Sicher ist, dass die James-Produktion laut Rotten Tomatoes (43% der Zuschauer mochten die Serie) und IMDB (5,9\/10 Sterne) nicht die besten Bewertungen abbekommt. Kritiken beschrieben zwar die hervorragende darstellerische Leistung des Kevin James, bem\u00c3\u00a4ngelten jedoch die Darbietungen des restlichen Casts. Eine Staffelfortsetzung ist daher abzuwarten. In der Regel kann man bei Comedy-Serien davon ausgehen, dass eine Staffelverl\u00c3\u00a4ngerung p\u00c3\u00bcnktlich Folgejahr-Datum erscheint und so l\u00c3\u00a4sst sich der Start f\u00c3\u00bcr die neue Staffel auf Mitte Dezember 2017 prognostizieren &#8211; sofern sich CBS eine weitere Staffel leistet. Worum geht\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s bei Kevin Can Wait? Die CBS Serie handelt von Kevin Gable, ein Polizeioffizier der nach 30 jahren im Dienst auf dem besten Wege zum Ruhestand dann &#8211; wie sollte es anders sein &#8211; doch nicht so schnell zur Ruhe kommt. Eigentlich wollte Kevin ganz gediegen ins Barbecue-Familytime-Zeitalter wechseln doch aus finanziellen Engp\u00c3\u00a4ssen muss er noch einmal als Security arbeiten. Folge f\u00c3\u00bcr Folge wird dem bemitleidenswerten Ex-Police-Officer dann per Cliffhanger ein neues Problem vor die F\u00c3\u00bc\u00c3\u0178e geworfen.
