Februar 2012 im d\u00c3\u00a4nischen TV, gefolgt von zwei weiteren Folgen. Seit dem 12. Juni 2015 sind alle drei Staffeln mit jeweils 8 Episoden auf Netflix zu streamen. Seitdem ist es still geworden um die Serie und einige User fragen sich sicherlich, ob und wann es eine weitere Staffel von Rita geben wird. Bereits 2015 wurde bekannt gegeben, dass Staffel 3 die letzte Staffel sein wird. Eine Fortsetzung von Christian Torpes Serie wird es folglich nicht geben. Sie wurde an der ehemaligen staatlichen Schule \u00e2\u20ac\u017eNationale Innovative Center\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 in Islev, R\u00c3\u00b8dove, gefilmt. Alles dreht sich um die unkonventionelle Lehrerin Rita (Mille Dinesen) und ihrer Familie. Die 42-J\u00c3\u00a4hrige lebt geschieden mit ihren drei Kindern Ricco (Morten Vang Simonsen), Molly (Sara Hjort Ditlevsen) und Jeppe (Nikolaj Groth) in einem alten Haus, direkt neben der Schule. Ricco ist der \u00c3\u00a4lteste von den Dreien und wohnt nicht mehr bei seiner Mutter. Er ist mit Bitten (Lykke Sand Michelsen) liiert, die ihr erstes Kind erwartet. Das skurrile ist, dass Bittens Vater fr\u00c3\u00bcher eine Beziehung mit Rita hatte. Noch in der ersten Staffel landen die beiden im Bett. Rita scheint M\u00c3\u00a4nnern gegen\u00c3\u00bcber sehr offen zu sein. Beziehungen kommen f\u00c3\u00bcr sie nicht in Frage. Dennoch geht sie mit ihrem Chef, Rektor Rasmus (Carsten Bj\u00c3\u00b8rnlund), nach einer langen Aff\u00c3\u00a4re eine Beziehung ein. Ob das gut geht? Immerhin ist Rita privat nicht gerade eine einfache Frau. In der Schule l\u00c3\u00a4uft es besser. Die Kinder lieben sie gerade wegen ihrer lockeren Art und auch mit der neuen Kollegin scheint sie sich sehr gut zu verstehen, w\u00c3\u00a4re da nicht ihre Kollegin Helle (Ellen Hillings\u00c3\u00b8), die keine Gelegenheit ausl\u00c3\u00a4sst, sie bei ihrem Chef schlecht zu machen. Milla Dinesen gewann f\u00c3\u00bcr ihre Rolle als Rita einen Preis beim Monte-Carlo Television Festival in der Kategorie \u00e2\u20ac\u017eBeste Hauptdarstellerin\u00e2\u20ac\u0153. Insgesamt wurde die Serie Rita insgesamt 6 Mal f\u00c3\u00bcr einen Preis nominiert unter anderem auch Christian Torpe als bester Drehbuchautor.
