Um dieses weiter bekannt zu machen, zu verbreiten und eine starke Userbase aufzubauen, bekam das Studio nun einen Finanzierungsschub in Millionenh\u00c3\u00b6he. Hauptinvestor ist die Stockholmer EQT Ventures, aber auch die fr\u00c3\u00bcheren Investoren Creandum, Spintop Ventures, PROfounders und First Fellow Partners trugen Teile zur Summe von 5,4 Millionen Euro bei. Das Geld soll vor allem im Bereich Marketing f\u00c3\u00bcr Empires &amp; Puzzles ausgegeben werden. Teile sollen aber auch in die Entwicklung neuer Titel flie\u00c3\u0178en. Lars J\u00c3\u00b6rnow von EQT Ventures verf\u00c3\u00bcgt \u00c3\u00bcber umfangreiche Erfahrung in der mobilen Spielwelt durch seine Zeit bei King und wei\u00c3\u0178 somit genau, wohinein er sein Geld steckt. CEO bei Small Giant Games, Timo Soininen sch\u00c3\u00a4tzt die Zusammenarbeit mit dem neuen Investor sehr positiv ein und sieht in EQT Ventures als Geldgeber und erfahrener Praktiker eine gro\u00c3\u0178e Hilfe bei der Verbesserung und dem Wachstum des j\u00c3\u00bcngsten und weiterer Spiele. Zuletzt erhielten Small Giant Games von den fr\u00c3\u00bcheren Investoren im Oktober 2014 3,7 Millionen Dollar, deren Ergebnis unter anderem eben Empires &amp; Puzzles ist. Laut Timo Soininen, CEO bei Small Giant Games, wurde ihr Spiel genau so entwickelt wie sie es sich vorgestellt hatten. Empires &amp; Puzzles ist ein MMORPG-Puzzle-Abenteuer als Fantasy-3-Gewinnt-Spiel verpackt mit PVP-Modus. Der Spieler kommandiert eine letzte Legion der freien Menschen, verteidigt seine Festung, beschw\u00c3\u00b6rt legend\u00c3\u00a4re Helden, vernichtet seine Gegner in Match-Three-Games und sammelt Karten und Rohstoffe, um seine Helden zu verbessern.
