Die neuen Episoden der dritten Staffel folgen jeweils montags sowohl in der englischen Originalversion als auch in der deutschen Synchronfassung. Die neue Staffel birgt auch neue Gefahren: Die Familien treffen im brutalen Grenzgebiet zwischen Mexiko und der USA wieder aufeinander. Die internationalen Grenzen haben nach dem Ende der Welt keine Bedeutung mehr und die Charaktere m\u00c3\u00bcssen nicht nur die Gesellschaft neu aufbauen, sondern auch ihre Familie. Madison (Kim Dickens) und Travis (Cliff Curtis) sind wieder gemeinsam unterwegs. Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) k\u00c3\u00a4mpft noch mit den Folgen ihres Mordes an Andres. Nick (Frank Dillane) steht vor der gro\u00c3\u0178en Herausforderung, ein guter Anf\u00c3\u00bchrer zu sein. Doch dann ger\u00c3\u00a4t er mit Luciana (Danay Garcia) in den Hinterhalt einer amerikanischen Miliz und sie wird verletzt. Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) will sich an der W\u00c3\u00a4hrung der neuen Welt bereichern. Und Ofelias (Mercedes Mason) Gefangenschaft wird erst noch zeigen, wie viel \u00c3\u0153berlebenswillen in ihr steckt. Daniel Sharman (Teen Wolf) \u00c3\u00bcbernimmt in dieser Staffel die Rolle des Troy. In weiteren Hauptrollen sind Dayton Callie (Sons of Anarchy), Lisandra Tena (Chicago P.D.) und Sam Underwood (The Following) zu sehen. Als Executive Producer fungieren Showrunner Dave Erickson, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero und David Alpert.
