Jedoch sind die vier Superhelden auf den Bewegtbildern erst auf den zweiten Blick f\u00c3\u00bcr die Zuschauer erkennbar. Jessica Jones schl\u00c3\u00a4gt aus heiterem Himmel die \u00c3\u0153berwachungskamera kaputt und die Zeitanzeige erstarrt infolgedessen auf 08:18:20:17. Die Fans der Superhelden sollten sich demzufolge den 18. August 2017 in ihrem Kalender anstreichen. Ab diesem Tag kann die Serie rund um die vier Superhelden auf Netflix angesehen werden. Die vier Superhelden Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Daredevile (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) und Iron Fist (Finn Jones) schlie\u00c3\u0178en sich als \u00e2\u20ac\u017eThe Defenders\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 zusammen und bewahren ihre Heimat von da an vor Kriminellen und B\u00c3\u00b6sewichten. Die Studios, in welchen die \u00e2\u20ac\u017eMarvel\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s The Defenders\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 produziert wird, sind die ABC Studios und Marvel Television selbst. Als Executive Producer werden Jeph Loeb (Executive Vice President of Marvel Television) und Drew Goddard an der Superheldenserie arbeiten. Als Showrunner werden Marco Ramirez und Douglas Petrie fungieren.
