Der in Moskau ans\u00c3\u00a4ssige Internet- und Kommunikationskonzern Mail.Ru Group orientiert sich wieder deutlich in die Richtung Spiele und Spielentwicklung und hat daf\u00c3\u00bcr eine neue Tochtergesellschaft ins Leben gerufen. Die Leitung der Mail.ru Games Venture hat Ilja Karpinski. Es sollen gemeinsam mit internationalen und nationalen Unternehmen Spiele entwickelt und ver\u00c3\u00b6ffentlicht werden. 10 Millionen Euro will der Konzern daf\u00c3\u00bcr sofort bereitstellen. Mail.Ru ist vor allem am Mobile-Game-Markt interessiert. Aber nat\u00c3\u00bcrlich werden gute PC- und auch Konsolenspiele nicht ausgeschlossen. Das wird dann wohl abgewogen werden, je nachdem wieviel Potential und Qualit\u00c3\u00a4t hier gesehen wird. Zudem gab das Unternehmen bekannt, auch Beteiligungen an anderen Spieleunternehmen in Form von Lizenzvertr\u00c3\u00a4gen und ganze Aufk\u00c3\u00a4ufe nicht auszuschlie\u00c3\u0178en. &#8220;Mit diesem Fond wollen wir auf dem Weltmarkt vielversprechende Spiele entdecken und entwickeln und die internationale Expansion der lokalen Produkte vorantreiben&#8221;, sagte Ilya Karpinsky in einer Erkl\u00c3\u00a4rung. Mail.ru ist wohl in Osteuropa Marktf\u00c3\u00bchrer im Bereich der Online-Games und gr\u00c3\u00b6\u00c3\u0178ter russischer Entwickler von MMO\u00c2\u00b4s. Mehr als 50 Spiele mit \u00c3\u00bcber 100 Millionen Nutzern finden sich im Portfolio. Der MMO Revenue von Mail.ru stieg im Jahr 2016 um 21 Prozent auf 201,7 Millionen US-Dollar.
