Der Fokus des Interesses am westlichen Markt liegt auf der Spiele-Industrie. Das Unternehmen h\u00c3\u00a4lt zum Beispiel die Mehrheit an Riot Games und Supercell. Tencent hat weitere 90 Millionen Dollar in das Gaming-Unternehmen Pocket Gems gesteckt. Kurze Zeit vorher erst stockte der asiatische Hai seinen Anteil an Pocket Gems auf 20 Prozent auf. Die ziemlich hohe Finanzspritze m\u00c3\u00b6chte Pocket Gems in den Ausbau ihrer Communities stecken. Zudem soll ein weiteres Studio er\u00c3\u00b6ffnet werden, welches sich auf 3D-Mehrspieler-Games konzentrieren soll. Noch in diesem Jahr soll der erste Titel des neuen Studios herauskommen. Pocket Gems ist ein Spiele-Entwickler aus San Francisco mit derzeit circa 200 Angestellten. Der Unternehmenswert wird auf 500 Millionen Dollar festgelegt. Der Anteil von Tencent betr\u00c3\u00a4gt mittlerweile 38 Prozent. Auch hier zeichnet sich der Weg zur Mehrheits\u00c3\u00bcbernahme ab. Pocket Gems soll aber, so wird noch behauptet, unabh\u00c3\u00a4ngig bleiben. Pocket Gems feiert seit 2016 mit seinem 3D-Multiplayer War Dragons gro\u00c3\u0178e Erfolge. Die Anzahl der begeisterten War Dragons-Gamer stieg im Vergleich zu 2015 um das Dreifache. Zwei Milliarden Schlachten wurden im letzten Jahr in War Dragons geschlagen.
