Neben der Verbrecherjagt sollten sich die Ermittler Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) und Jane Doe (Jamie Alexander) jedoch auch etwas daf\u00c3\u00bcr tun, dass die Quoten wieder steigen. Staffel eins war noch als ein Erfolg f\u00c3\u00bcr NBC zu werten, am Ende der zweiten Staffel sank die Anzahl der Zuschauer jedoch auf etwa vier Millionen \u00e2\u20ac\u201c zu Beginn der zweiten Staffel waren es noch sieben Millionen gewesen. Im Zentrum der Serie steht Jane Doe, die mithilfe ihrer Tattoos Kriminalf\u00c3\u00a4lle l\u00c3\u00b6sen kann. Wie die T\u00c3\u00a4towierungen auf ihren K\u00c3\u00b6rper gelangt sind, wei\u00c3\u0178 die Protagonistin jedoch nicht. Durch ihre F\u00c3\u00a4higkeit erh\u00c3\u00a4lt Jane Doe schnell eine Anstellung beim FBI. Dort hilft sie dabei, Verbrecher festzunehmen und Terroranschl\u00c3\u00a4ge zu verhindern.
