Dies ist allerdings recht untypisch f\u00c3\u00bcr den Streaming-Anbieter, denn bisher haben fast alle Serien mindestens noch eine zweite Chance in Form einer weiteren Staffel erhalten. Bereits die Produktion der ersten Staffel hatte mit einigen Problemen zu k\u00c3\u00a4mpfen (Wechsel von Showrunner und Schreiber). Produktionsverz\u00c3\u00b6gerungen f\u00c3\u00bchrten dazu, dass die erste Staffel in zwei Teilen ausgestrahlt wurde. W\u00c3\u00a4hrend der erste Teil bereits im August letzten Jahres ver\u00c3\u00b6ffentlicht wurde, erschien The Get Down Staffel 1 Teil 2 erst vor wenigen Wochen. Anfang des Jahres hat Luhrmann in einem Interview mit Vulture andeuten lassen, dass sich eine weitere Staffel der Sony-Netflix-Produktion bereits in Arbeit befindet. \u00e2\u20ac\u017eUm ehrlich zu sein, haben wir bereits das Opening f\u00c3\u00bcr die zweite Staffel entwickelt.\u00e2\u20ac\u0153, sagte er. Zudem verriet er noch, dass wohl Sony als auch Netflix eine weitere Staffel der Serie haben wollten. <iframe loading=\"lazy\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/SIoKPq4xJ3Q\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe> Doch bereits im Vorfeld war klar, dass Luhrmann bei einer m\u00c3\u00b6glichen zweiten Staffel nicht mehr seine komplette Zeit f\u00c3\u00bcr eine weitere Staffel einsetzen k\u00c3\u00b6nne. Laut einem k\u00c3\u00bcrzlich ver\u00c3\u00b6ffentlichten Facebook-Post auf Luhrmanns Seite war dies wohl auch der ausschlaggebende Punkt, wieso sich die Macher gegen eine weitere Staffel der Serie entschieden haben. Das Hip-Hop-Drama, welches sich in den South Bronx in den 1970 Jahren in New York City abspielte, geh\u00c3\u00b6rte mit 120 Millionen US-Dollar zu einer der teuersten Eigenproduktionen von Netflix.
