Autor von The Rain ist Jannik Tai Mosholt, der an der Seite von Produzent Christian Potalivo auch Showrunner der Serie ist. Die Produktionsfirma ist Miso Film mit Jonas Allen und Peter Bose als Ausf\u00c3\u00bchrende Produzenten. Die Welt, wie wir sie kennen, existiert nicht mehr. Sechs Jahre, nachdem fast alle Menschen in Skandinavien einem t\u00c3\u00b6dlichen Virus zum Opfer fielen, schlie\u00c3\u0178en sich zwei Geschwister einer Gruppe \u00c3\u0153berlebender auf der Suche nach einem neuen Lebensraum an. Gemein ist allen die Hoffnung, dass der Vater der Geschwister irgendwo dort drau\u00c3\u0178en mit Antworten auf sie wartet. Die Hauptdarsteller von The Rain sind Mikkel Boe F\u00c3\u00b8lsggard (A Royal Affair), Alba August (Below The Surface), Lucas Lynggaard T\u00c3\u00b8nnesen (Tidsrejsen) und Lars Simonsen (Die Br\u00c3\u00bccke, Brotherhood).
