Die Abo-Geb\u00c3\u00bchren werden dabei an die Autoren der exklusiven Inhalte verteilt. Welcher Autor wie viel Geld erh\u00c3\u00a4lt, h\u00c3\u00a4ngt von der Bewertung der Artikel durch die Abonnenten ab. Bisher wurde es nur wenigen Autoren erlaubt, hinter der Paywall Artikel zu ver\u00c3\u00b6ffentlichen \u00e2\u20ac\u201c bald soll dies aber f\u00c3\u00bcr mehr Nutzer der Plattform m\u00c3\u00b6glich sein. Vor einigen Wochen war das Feature, das es erm\u00c3\u00b6glichte, Artikel weiterzuempfehlen, durch den \u00e2\u20ac\u017eClap\u00e2\u20ac\u0153-Button (deutsch: Klatschen) ersetzt worden. Dieser kann beliebig oft gedr\u00c3\u00bcckt werden. Nutzer der Blog-Plattform k\u00c3\u00b6nnen so ihren Gefallen an den einzelnen Artikeln zum Ausdruck bringen. Bisher wurde die Geb\u00c3\u00bchr, die ein Nutzer gezahlt hat, auf Autoren deren Artikel dieser Nutzer gelesen hat umverteilt. Da die Bezahlung in Zukunft von der Beliebtheit der Artikel, also den Claps, abh\u00c3\u00a4ngen soll, besteht die Gefahr, dass Autoren Abonnenten gezielt nach Claps fragen werden. Laut The Verge w\u00c3\u00a4re es sinnvoller gewesen, die Beliebtheit eines Artikels dar\u00c3\u00bcber zu ermitteln, wie lange die Abonnenten auf der entsprechenden Seite waren und ob der Artikel dann weiter geteilt wurde. Einen Vorteil hat der \u00e2\u20ac\u017eClap\u00e2\u20ac\u0153-Button jedoch: Artikel die positiv bewertet werden, k\u00c3\u00b6nnen so noch mehr Abonnenten erreichen.
