Die gamescom 2017 endete am 26. August mit einem neuen Besucherrekord. Vom 22. bis 26. August kamen \u00e2\u02c6\u2019 Sch\u00c3\u00a4tzungen des letzten Messetags einbezogen \u00e2\u02c6\u2019 insgesamt \u00c3\u00bcber 350.000 Besucher aus 106 L\u00c3\u00a4ndern zum weltweit gr\u00c3\u00b6\u00c3\u0178ten Event f\u00c3\u00bcr Computer- und Videospiele. Damit knackte die gamescom 2017 besucherseitig erstmals auch die \u00e2\u20ac\u017e100-L\u00c3\u00a4nder-Marke\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 und unterstrich ihre internationale Bedeutung eindrucksvoll. Mit 30.700 Fachbesuchern verzeichnete die gamescom einen leichten Zuwachs im Vergleich zu 2016 und best\u00c3\u00a4tigt ihre Position als Europas Nummer 1 Businessplattform der Gaming-Branche. Auch in punkto Ausstellerzahl und Internationalit\u00c3\u00a4t setzte die gamescom 2017 neue Bestmarken: 919 ausstellende Unternehmen (+5 Prozent) aus 54 L\u00c3\u00a4ndern waren in den K\u00c3\u00b6lner Messehallen vertreten. Der Auslandsanteil der Aussteller lag in diesem Jahr bei 72 Prozent. Das begleitende Konferenzprogramm, darunter der gamescom congress, der eSports-Kongress SPOBIS Gaming &amp; Media sowie das neue Entwickler-Event devcom, rundete die Woche perfekt ab. Erstmals wurde die gamescom durch Bundeskanzlerin Dr. Angela Merkel er\u00c3\u00b6ffnet. Mehr Gaming geht nicht: Die gamescom 2017 \u00c3\u00bcberzeugte einmal mehr durch ein plattform\u00c3\u00bcbergreifendes Ausstellungsangebot. Auf einer erneut erweiterten Bruttofl\u00c3\u00a4che von 201.000 Quadratmetern (+4 Prozent) sorgten Konsolen-, Mobile-, Online-, PC-Gaming, Virtual Reality und eSports, als eines der Top-Themen, f\u00c3\u00bcr Begeisterung bei Spielefans aus aller Welt. Neben den spektakul\u00c3\u00a4ren Pr\u00c3\u00a4sentationen der Aussteller waren auch die social media stage powered by BMVI (Bundesministerium f\u00c3\u00bcr Verkehr und digitale Infrastruktur), das cosplay village, der gamescom campus, family &amp; friends sowie viele weitere Outdoor- und Indoor-Aktionen beliebte Treffpunkte der Besucher. Partnerland der gamescom 2017 war Kanada.
