Am 22. September werden vorerst neun neue Episoden ver\u00c3\u00b6ffentlicht, weitere neun folgen noch in diesem Jahr \u00e2\u20ac\u201c voraussichtlich im Dezember. Jetzt hat Netflix einige Details zur neuen Staffel der Sitcom, die im Sommer ansetzt, bekanntgegeben. Kimmy wird eine neue Catchphrase \u00e2\u20ac\u017eSweet Cheese\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 ausprobieren und auch das Gibbler-Haus wird zum ersten Mal \u00c3\u00bcber die Bildschirme flimmern. Seriensch\u00c3\u00b6pfer Jeff Franklin zufolge wurden Kimmys Eltern nie Berufe zugewiesen \u00e2\u20ac\u201c es gab lediglich einen Verweis auf verr\u00c3\u00bcckte Hobbys sowie Karrieren. Die Gibblers w\u00c3\u00bcrden sich als merkw\u00c3\u00bcrdig entpuppen, so kam auch die Idee auf, dass das Haus ein Gruselkabinett sein k\u00c3\u00b6nnte. Die romantische Spannung zwischen Steve (Scott Weinger) und DJ (Candace Cameron Bure) wird ein Ende haben. Laut Franklin sollten den beiden einige Hindernisse in den Weg gelegt werden, was in den vergangenen Staffeln auch passiert ist. Nun soll zu den Gef\u00c3\u00bchlen zwischen DJ und Steve zur\u00c3\u00bcckgekehrt werden. Die Umst\u00c3\u00a4nde werden zu einer Episode, die in Japan spielt, f\u00c3\u00bchren \u00e2\u20ac\u201c diese Episode wird die erste in der zweiten Staffelh\u00c3\u00a4lfte sein. Da Franklin Gia und DJ gerne als Rivalinnen auftreten l\u00c3\u00a4sst, werden diese erstmal keine Freundinnen.
