Martin seine Novelle \u00e2\u20ac\u017eNightflyers\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 als Teil einer Kurzgeschichtensammlung ver\u00c3\u00b6ffentlicht. Syfy hat jetzt eine komplette Serie, die auf \u00e2\u20ac\u017eNightflyers\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 basiert, bestellt. Netflix wird sich ebenfalls an der Produktion, die auf den Novelle des Autors von Game of Thrones zur\u00c3\u00bcckgeht, der neuen Serie beteiligen. Als Autor der Adaption wird Jeff Buhler fungieren. Im Zentrum stehen ein m\u00c3\u00a4chtiger Telepath sowie acht Wissenschaftler. Diese m\u00c3\u00bcssen sich an Bord der Nightflyer auf die Mission begeben, in Kontakt mit einem au\u00c3\u0178erirdischen Raumschiff zu treten. Durch einen eigenwilligen Bordcomputer sowie einige gruselige Ereignisse wird die Mission allerdings deutlich erschwert und schlie\u00c3\u0178lich zu einem Kampf ums \u00c3\u0153berleben. \u00e2\u20ac\u017eNightflyers\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 soll in Irland produziert werden. George R.R. Martin wird sich allerdings nicht an der Produktion beteiligen k\u00c3\u00b6nnen, da im Moment ein exklusiver Vertrag zwischen ihm und dem Sender HBO l\u00c3\u00a4uft. Die erste Pilotfolge der neuen Serie wurde bereits fertiggestellt. Zum Cast geh\u00c3\u00b6ren Eoin Macken, Gretchen Mol, David Ajala, Maya Eshet, Sam Strike, Jodie Turner-Smith, Angus Sampson sowie Br\u00c3\u00adan F.
