Der Fokus des gerade einmal f\u00c3\u00bcnf Jahre alten Unternehmens liegt auf Sicherheitskameras und vernetzten T\u00c3\u00bcrklinken. Wie das Wall Street Journal unter Berufung auf informierte Kreise berichtet, soll Amazon knapp eine Milliarde US-Dollar f\u00c3\u00bcr die \u00c3\u0153bernahme des Startups bezahlt haben. Kunden von Ring haben die M\u00c3\u00b6glichkeit, das Smartphone, das Tablet oder sogar den Desktop mit ihrer Videot\u00c3\u00bcrklingel zu verbinden. Sobald ein Besucher dann an der T\u00c3\u00bcr klingelt, erfolgt eine Benachrichtigung. Der Ring-Kunde kann dann mit seinen Besuchern kommunizieren. Ring hat au\u00c3\u0178erdem Flutlichtkameras und Punktkameras in seinem Sortiment. Wer eine digitale T\u00c3\u00bcrklingel kaufen m\u00c3\u00b6chte, muss je nach Ausstattung 199 bis 499 Euro daf\u00c3\u00bcr bezahlen. Erst seit Ende Oktober bietet Amazon seinen Prime-Kunden in 37 St\u00c3\u00a4dten der USA einen Service namens Key an, durch den Bestellungen direkt in die Wohnung geliefert werden k\u00c3\u00b6nnen. Kunden des Onlineversandhauses k\u00c3\u00b6nnen die Zustellung ihrer Pakete \u00c3\u00bcber die Cloud Cam verfolgen.
