Demnach w\u00c3\u00bcrde der Fokus im Moment auf den kommenden Staffeln liegen. Oft werden Erfolgsserien durch ein Prequel oder ein Spin-Off &#8211; wie zuletzt The Big Bang Theory durch Young Sheldon &#8211; erweitert. Dass Stranger Things zum Franchise wird, h\u00c3\u00a4lt Levy demgegen\u00c3\u00bcber allerdings f\u00c3\u00bcr ausgeschlossen. Laut Levy hatte Netflix die Serie von Anfang an nicht als Franchise geplant. Dass es weitere Staffeln der Mysteryserie geben soll, steht aber definitiv fest. Der Meinung des Produzenten nach ist Stranger Things sicher zu einem Flaggschiff von Netflix geworden. Staffel 1 habe das Publikum vor allem durch eine Mischung von Horror Science Fiction \u00c3\u00bcberrascht, die Ausstrahlung der 2. Staffel zog sogar Streaming-Rekorde nach sich. Trotz des Erfolgs von Stranger Things haben Matt und Ross Duffer, die Sch\u00c3\u00b6pfer der Serie, ein Ende f\u00c3\u00bcr die Geschichte geplant. Bis zu f\u00c3\u00bcnf Staffeln seien aber durchaus realistisch. Laut Comic Book w\u00c3\u00bcrde es endlos viele Optionen f\u00c3\u00bcr eine Fortsetzung der Geschichte rund um Upside Down geben.
