Michael Hirst, Sch\u00c3\u00b6pfer der Serie, hat sich in einem exklusiven Interview mit Express zu einer Erweiterung des Serien-Universums ge\u00c3\u00a4u\u00c3\u0178ert. Ein Spin-Off von Vikings sei demnach durchaus m\u00c3\u00b6glich. Eine offizielle Best\u00c3\u00a4tigung hierf\u00c3\u00bcr gibt es zwar noch nicht, f\u00c3\u00bcr die Fans der Wikinger w\u00c3\u00bcrde es allerdings sehr gut aussehen. Laut Michael Hirst wird im Moment \u00c3\u00bcber ein Spin-Off der historischen Serie diskutiert, worum es konkret gehen k\u00c3\u00b6nnte, kann selbst der Produzent noch nicht sagen \u00e2\u20ac\u201c das Projekt soll sich laut Hirst noch in einem sehr fr\u00c3\u00bchen Stadium befinden. Zuvor hatten bereits Ger\u00c3\u00bcchte \u00c3\u00bcber einen Ableger, in dessen Zentrum Walhalla, also die letzte Ruhest\u00c3\u00a4tte der toten Wikinger, stehen soll die Runde gemacht. Diese dementierte Hirst \u00e2\u20ac\u201c das Problem w\u00c3\u00bcrde darin bestehen, dass Walhalla keinen besonders unterhaltenden Inhalt f\u00c3\u00bcr ein Spin-Off liefern w\u00c3\u00bcrde. Die toten Wikinger in Walhalla w\u00c3\u00bcrden lediglich jeden Tag mit den G\u00c3\u00b6ttern schlemmen und sich dann gegenseitig bek\u00c3\u00a4mpfen und erneut t\u00c3\u00b6ten, um dann wieder aufzustehen und erneut in Walhalla zu speisen.
