Die erste skandinavische Netflix Original Serie erz\u00c3\u00a4hlt von einem jungen d\u00c3\u00a4nischen Geschwisterpaar, das nach sechs Jahren ihren Schutzbunker zum ersten Mal verl\u00c3\u00a4sst. Ein brutaler Virus, der durch den Regen \u00c3\u00bcbertragen wurde, l\u00c3\u00b6schte damals fast die gesamte Bev\u00c3\u00b6lkerung aus. W\u00c3\u00a4hrend ihrer Erkundungstour treffen sie auf eine Gruppe weiterer junger \u00c3\u0153berlebender. Gemeinsam begeben sie sich auf eine gef\u00c3\u00a4hrliche Reise durch ein verlassenes Skandinavien, auf der Suche nach Leben. Frei von gesellschaftlichen Zw\u00c3\u00a4ngen und Regeln der Vergangenheit kann nun jeder in der Gruppe so sein, wie er sein m\u00c3\u00b6chte. Doch w\u00c3\u00a4hrend die jungen Menschen ums blanke \u00c3\u0153berleben k\u00c3\u00a4mpfen, m\u00c3\u00bcssen sie feststellen, dass selbst in einer postapokalyptischen Welt allt\u00c3\u00a4gliche Probleme wie Liebe, Eifersucht und die Herausforderungen des Erwachsenwerdens noch immer existieren&#8230; The Rain ist Netflix\u00e2\u20ac\u02dc erste d\u00c3\u00a4nische Original Serie \u00e2\u20ac\u201c ab dem 4. Mai 2018 nur auf Netflix. Jannik Tai Mosholt (Borgen, Rita, Follow the Money) ist bei dem Projekt zugleich Showrunner und Regisseur. Zusammen mit Esben Toft Jacobsen (The Great Bear, Beyond Beyond) und Christian Potalivo (Dicte, The New Tenants, Long Story Short) zeichnet er ebenfalls als Executive Producer verantwortlich. Hauptdarstellerin Alba August (Reliance, Jordskott und Unga Astrid) geh\u00c3\u00b6rte zu den diesj\u00c3\u00a4hrigen Berlinale European Shooting Stars 2018.
