Wie die New York Times berichtet, hat der Internetriese am Dienstag die Gr\u00c3\u00bcndung der sogenannten \u00e2\u20ac\u017eGoogle News Initiative\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 angek\u00c3\u00bcndigt. In das Projekt sollen im besagten Zeitraum 300 Millionen US-Dollar, was umgerechnet circa 270 Millionen Euro entspricht, investiert werden. Ziel des Projekts ist es unter anderem, den Nutzern von Google das Abonnieren von Medienunternehmen zu erleichtern und den Publishern neue Tools zur Verf\u00c3\u00bcgung zu stellen, welche das Erstellen von schnell ladenden mobilen Internetseiten erleichtern. Google m\u00c3\u00b6chte die Qualit\u00c3\u00a4t der Informationen verbessern und das in einer Zeit, in der Technologieunternehmen zunehmend in der Kritik stehen, Fake News zu verbreiten.
