Schnell stand fest, dass es eine zweite Staffel geben wird. Unklar war, wie lange der Zeitraum zwischen erster und zweiter Staffel sein wird. Nun steht fest: Netflix bleibt sich auch hier wieder treu und bringt die n\u00c3\u00a4chste Season ebenfalls im Juni, also genau ein Jahr sp\u00c3\u00a4ter. Am 29. Juni geht es los. Mittendrin in den sympathischen Figuren der Wrestling-Comedy ist auch wieder Alison Brie, die die erfolglose Schauspielerin Rue spielt. Rue will ihren Traum leben und landet in einer w\u00c3\u00b6chentlichen Show &#8211; im Wrestling der Damen! Zwischen Glitter, Bodyslams und Spandex versucht Rue doch noch bekannt und erfolgreich zu werden. Damit steht sie aber nicht alleine da, denn eine weitere f\u00c3\u00bcr die Show gecastete, mindestens ebenso erfolglose Schauspielerin will genau dasselbe. Betty Gilpin ist eine ehemalige Soap-Schauspielerin, die die Flucht aus ihrem nicht ganz so rund laufenden Familienleben in der Wrestling-Show sucht. Mit viel Witz und Humor erz\u00c3\u00a4hlt die Serie Geschichten von M\u00c3\u00b6chtegern-Stars und gescheiterten Existenzen auf dem langen und oftmals skurilen Weg zum Ruhm. Inspiriert ist die Geschichte von einer wahren Begebenheit in den 1980er Jahren in Los Angeles, wo die erste Damenliga im Wrestling aus dem Boden gehoben wurde. GLOW stand damals f\u00c3\u00bcr Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling.
