Gedreht wird die Neuauflage von Charmed in Vancouver, als Produktionsunternehmen wurde CBS Television engagiert. Als Produzentinnen werden Amy Rardin und Jessica O\u00e2\u20ac\u2122Toole, die beiden wurden durch Jane the Virgin bekannt, fungieren. Im Zentrum des Charmed-Reboots werden die drei Schwestern Mel (Melonie Diaz), Macy (Madeleine Mantock) und Maggie (Sarah Jeffrey) stehen. Nach dem tragischen Tod ihrer Mutter erfahren die drei, dass sie Hexen sind. Wie alle modernen Hexen m\u00c3\u00bcssen sie nun gegen das Patriarchat k\u00c3\u00a4mpfen und m\u00c3\u00a4chtige D\u00c3\u00a4monen besiegen \u00e2\u20ac\u201c auch von allt\u00c3\u00a4glichen Problemen bleiben die Mel, Macy und Maggie nicht verschont. In den Jahren 2013 und 2017 hatten CBS und The CW bereits in Erw\u00c3\u00a4gung gezogen, die Serie neu aufzunehmen. The CW zog ein Reboot in Erw\u00c3\u00a4gung, das in den 1970ern spielt. Nach der Produktion des Piloten kam jedoch keine Bestellung der Serie zustande.
