Bis zum 1. August 2018, 23:59 Uhr, k\u00c3\u00b6nnen sich angemeldete Aussteller der gamescom f\u00c3\u00bcr den beliebtesten Preis der europ\u00c3\u00a4ischen Computer- und Videospiel-Branche bewerben. Der gamescom award wird in insgesamt 29 Kategorien vergeben. In diesem Jahr gibt es allerdings einige Neuerungen zu beachten: Titel, die eine Chance auf den gamescom award haben wollen, m\u00c3\u00bcssen bis zum 1. August beim Award-B\u00c3\u00bcro der Stiftung Digitale Spielekultur eingereicht werden Neu ist, dass die Sieger in den von der internationalen Jury nominierten Kategorien in diesem Jahr bereits am Fachbesucher- und Medientag der gamescom, 21. August 2018, im Konrad-Adenauer-Saal des Congress Centrum Nord, bekannt gegeben werden. Spiele oder Produkte, die entweder erst durch die Jury direkt auf der gamescom bewertet werden k\u00c3\u00b6nnen oder die das Publikum w\u00c3\u00a4hlt wie \u00e2\u20ac\u017eBest Booth\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 oder der gamescom \u00e2\u20ac\u017eMost Wanted\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 Consumer Award werden wie gewohnt \u00c3\u00bcber die gamescom-App bewertet. Die Gewinner dieser Kategorien werden am Samstag, 25. August, auf der gamescom stage bekannt gegeben. Geleitet wird das Award-B\u00c3\u00bcro von der Stiftung Digitale Spielekultur. August 2018, verliehen werden k\u00c3\u00b6nnen, wird die Jury des gamescom awards die nominierten Spiele bereits vor dem Start der Messe sichten und bewerten. Hierzu findet eine Jury-Sitzung zwei Wochen vor der gamescom in den R\u00c3\u00a4umlichkeiten der USK und der Stiftung Digitale Spielekultur in Berlin statt.
