Die Einrichtung entsteht derzeit auf einem 22.000 Quadratmeter gro\u00c3\u0178en Gel\u00c3\u00a4nde namens La Ciudad de la Tele. Dieses befindet sich in der 46.000-Einwohner-Gemeinde Tres Cantos, die etwa 20 Kilometer von der spanischen Hauptstadt Madrid entfernt ist. F\u00c3\u00bcr die Verwaltung des Studios wird in den n\u00c3\u00a4chsten Jahren das Unternehmen Grupo Secuoya zust\u00c3\u00a4ndig sein. Zwischen Netflix und der Firma wurde ein mehrj\u00c3\u00a4hriger Vertrag geschlossen, der besagt, dass der VoD-Anbieter ab September zun\u00c3\u00a4chst drei Fl\u00c3\u00a4chen, die insgesamt 1200 Quadratmeter gro\u00c3\u0178 sind, mieten wird. Nach dem Abschluss der Bauarbeiten hat der Streamingdienst dann die Option, weitere Fl\u00c3\u00a4chen zus\u00c3\u00a4tzlich zu mieten. In Tres Cantos sollen vor allem spanischsprachige Netflix Originale produziert werden. Laut Erik Barmack, Vice President f\u00c3\u00bcr internationale Originals bei Netflix, wird die Einrichtung des ersten europ\u00c3\u00a4ischen Produktionsstudios von Netflix neue M\u00c3\u00b6glichkeiten f\u00c3\u00bcr Spaniens unglaublich kreatives Talent schaffen. Netflix t\u00c3\u00a4tigt derzeit einige Investitionen in Spanien. Derzeit arbeiten mehr als 13.000 Schauspielern, Komparsen und Crewmitglieder an spanischsprachigen Titeln, die bald auf Netflix erscheinen sollen.
