Die Serie ist f\u00c3\u00bcr Prime-Mitglieder in \u00c3\u00bcber 200 L\u00c3\u00a4ndern und Territorien weltweit in der englischen Originalversion verf\u00c3\u00bcgbar. Die deutsche Synchronfassung folgt Anfang 2019 bei Amazons Video-Streaming-Service. The Romanoffs stammt aus der Feder des neunmaligen Emmy-Preistr\u00c3\u00a4gers Matthew Weiner (Mad Men), der auch als Regisseur und Executive Producer fungiert. Die Serie umfasst acht einzelne Geschichten \u00c3\u00bcber Menschen, die sich f\u00c3\u00bcr Nachkommen der russischen Zarenfamilie halten. Das Prime Original spielt in sieben verschiedenen L\u00c3\u00a4ndern und wurde auf drei Kontinenten mit lokalen Produktionsfirmen und Kreativtalenten gedreht.
