Deshalb plant das Unternehmen derzeit einen werbefinanzierten Video-Dienst, der Prime Video erg\u00c3\u00a4nzen soll. Der neue Dienst soll Free Dive hei\u00c3\u0178en und unter anderem \u00c3\u00a4ltere TV-Serien im Angebot haben, welche von gro\u00c3\u0178en Studios produziert wurden. Free Dive soll eine gewisse \u00c3\u201ehnlichkeit zum Roku Channel, einem ebenfalls werbefinanzierten und kostenlosen Video-Dienst f\u00c3\u00bcr Roku-Streaming-Ger\u00c3\u00a4te, haben. Sch\u00c3\u00a4tzungen zufolge soll Amazon rund 48 Millionen Kunden haben, die ein Fire-TV-Ger\u00c3\u00a4t besitzen. Diese Zahl umfasst sowohl die Besitzer des Fire-TV-Stick als auch die Besitzer eines HDMI-Dongles, der mit 4K ausgestattet ist, und die Besitzer des Fire-Cubes, in den Alexa integriert ist. Dazu, wie viele der 48 Millionen Kunden Prime Video nutzen, liegen keine genauen Angaben vor.
