Am letzten Donnerstag wollte der Investor Platinum Equity, der Wimdu vor zwei Jahren von Rocket Internet gekauft hatte, verk\u00c3\u00bcnden, wie es mit Wimdu weitergeht. Nun war es soweit und es steht fest: es geht \u00c3\u00bcberhaupt nicht weiter. Der Investor zieht die Notbremse und steckt kein weiteres Geld in die Entwicklung der Plattform. Mehr als 50 Mitarbeiter in Berlin und 60 in Lissabon verlieren ihre Jobs. Die Mitarbeiter werden zum gr\u00c3\u00b6\u00c3\u0178ten Teil bis zum Ende des Jahres freigestellt. Es sind derzeit direkt \u00c3\u00bcber Wimdu keine neuen Buchungen und Ferienwohnungssuchen mehr m\u00c3\u00b6glich. Man wird an HomeToGo als Partner von Wimdu verwiesen und darf sich dort im breiten Angebot umsehen. Wer schon eine Wohnung \u00c3\u00bcber Wimdu gebucht hat und bis Ende des Jahres seine Reise antritt, soll wie geplant dort auch \u00c3\u00bcbernachten k\u00c3\u00b6nnen. Kunden, die f\u00c3\u00bcr das n\u00c3\u00a4chste Jahr gebucht haben, werden von Wimdu direkt kontaktiert. Schon im Jahr 2016 stand Wimdu einmal auf der Kippe. Damals entlie\u00c3\u0178 man 60 von 250 Mitarbeitern, um zu sparen und das Unternehmen wieder auf Kurs zu bringen.
