Die B\u00c3\u00bccher von C. S. Lewis, die im Zeitraum von 1950 bis 1956 ver\u00c3\u00b6ffentlicht wurden, dienten bereits als Inspiration f\u00c3\u00bcr den ein oder anderen Hollywood-Film. F\u00c3\u00bcr das Projekt hat Netflix bereits Vincent Sieber, Douglas Gresham und Mark Gordon ans Boot geholt \u00e2\u20ac\u201c alle drei haben bereits an der ersten Filmreihe mitgearbeitet. Netflix ist das erste Unternehmen, dass die Rechte an allen sieben Romanen erworben hat. So besteht nun auch die M\u00c3\u00b6glichkeit, die Serie erstmals in ihrer Gesamtheit zu zeigen. Unter den Streamingdiensten scheint es derzeit zu einem Trend zu werden, die Rechte an B\u00c3\u00bcchern zu erwerben, die bereits einmal verfilmt wurden. So hat beispielsweise Amazon eine Adaption zu \u00e2\u20ac\u017eHerr der Ringe\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 angek\u00c3\u00bcndigt. Netflix produzierte in der Vergangenheit au\u00c3\u0178erdem eine Adaption zur Buchreihe \u00e2\u20ac\u017eEine Reihe betr\u00c3\u00bcblicher Ereignisse\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 von Lemony Snicket.
