November geht die mittlerweile 3. Staffel des Historiendramas The Last Kingdom bei Netflix mit zehn neuen Episoden an den Start. Ohne Netflix h\u00c3\u00a4tte es nach der vergangenen Staffel keine Zukunft mehr f\u00c3\u00bcr die Serie gegeben, denn BBC America ist im April aus dem Projekt ausgestiegen. Auch hier\u00c3\u00bcber wurde ausf\u00c3\u00bchrlich auf <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lightsteelblue-llama-768814.hostingersite.comn\/n\/11945-netflix-spendiert-the-last-kingdom-eine-3-staffel\" target=\"_blank\">Newsslash<\/a> berichtet. Nun hat der Streamingdienst einen ersten offiziellen Trailer zu der neuen Staffel ver\u00c3\u00b6ffentlicht, den ihr unterhalb dieses Artikels findet. Die Handlung von The Last Kingdom ist in der zweiten H\u00c3\u00a4lfte des 9. Jahrhunderts angesiedelt. Damals sind die Wikinger in das angels\u00c3\u00a4chsische K\u00c3\u00b6nigreich England einmarschiert &#8211; nur Wessex bleibt frei von der Besetzung durch die D\u00c3\u00a4nen. Kurze Zeit sp\u00c3\u00a4ter wird der Junge Uhtred von den Wikingern entf\u00c3\u00bchrt und w\u00c3\u00a4chst von da an als einer von ihnen auf. Als sein Ziehvater Ragnar Jahre sp\u00c3\u00a4ter verraten und ermordet wird, gelingt Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon) die Flucht. Nachdem er den Wikingern entkommen ist, m\u00c3\u00b6chte Uhtred seinen Anspruch, Ealdorman von Bebbanburg zu sein, geltend machen. Dazu schlie\u00c3\u0178t er sich mit dem K\u00c3\u00b6nig von Wessex (David Dawson) zusammen. Auch in der 3. Staffel ist Uhtred weiterhin damit besch\u00c3\u00a4ftigt, die D\u00c3\u00a4nen aus Bebbanburg zu vertreiben und dort die Kontrolle zu erlangen.
