Nachdem die Schauspielerin, die wir aus Gipsy und Twin Peaks kennen, zuletzt ihre Zusage zum Dreh des Prequel-Piloten von Game of Thrones gegeben habt, tut sie es jetzt schon wieder. Watts \u00c3\u00bcbernimmt eine Hauptrolle in der nagelneuen Quibi-Serie Wolves and Villagers. Wenn auch man Naomi Watts vielleicht schon kennt, fragt sich doch der eine oder die andere: wer oder was ist eigentlich ein Quibi? Quibi steht kurz f\u00c3\u00bcr Quibi Bites (schnelle Daten) &#8211; ein Unternehmen, welches erst im letzten Jahr vorgestellt wurde. Hinter Quibi stecken Jeffrey Katzenberg und Meg Whitman, die fast eine Milliarde Dollar f\u00c3\u00bcr die Taufe von Quibi eingesammelt haben. Der Name Quibi Bites ist Programm, denn das neue Studio will sich vor allem auf Miniserien konzentrieren. Diese sollen zwischen 2 und 4 Stunden lang sein und auf dem Smartphone angesehen werden. Viel mehr als die eben angek\u00c3\u00bcndigte Serie Wolves and Villagers ist aber zum Portfolio des Unternehmens noch nicht bekannt. Neben Naomi Watts, die wir vor allem durch ihre Rollen in Filmen wie King Kong, The Impossible oder Tage am Strand kennen, wurden auch Antoine Fuqua, Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water) und Sam Raimi, bekannt durch Spider-Man f\u00c3\u00bcr Wolves and Villagers verpflichtet. Jason Blum soll der Produzent von Wolves and Villagers sein, was darauf schlie\u00c3\u0178en l\u00c3\u00a4sst, dass wir es vielleicht mit einer Horror-Serie zu tun bekommen werden.
