Derweil t\u00c3\u00bcftelt Showrunner Jan Rothenberg anscheinend nicht an einer siebten Staffel, oder vielleicht doch, aber an einem Spin-Off zur beliebten Serie. Dies deutete er zumindest auf der WonderCon 2019 an. Laut TV Guide fragte ein Fan der Dystopie auf der Con direkt nach, was das Team von einem Spin-Off halten w\u00c3\u00bcrde. Daraufhin meldete sich Schauspieler Richard Harmon, er spielt den John Murphy, zu Wort und antwortete, dass er wirklich gern eines sehen w\u00c3\u00bcrde. Seiner Meinung nach sollte das Spin-Off mit der Explosion einer Bombe beginnen. Die \u00c3\u0153berlebenden dieser Explosion sind dann die bekannten Grounders. Das Spin-Off k\u00c3\u00b6nnte zeigen, wie die Menschen mit der neuen Situation konfrontiert werden und sich darin zurechtfinden. Showrunner Jan Rothenberg klinkte sich in die Diskussion ein und deutete an: \u00e2\u20ac\u017eWir arbeiten da vielleicht an etwas. Dar\u00c3\u00bcber darf ich leider nicht reden.\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 Allerdings wurde nicht klar, ob diese Andeutung sich wirklich auf ein Spin-Off bezieht.
