Shira Haas schl\u00c3\u00bcpft in die Rolle der fliehenden Ex-Ehefrau, die nach New York nun in Berlin das gro\u00c3\u0178e Gl\u00c3\u00bcck, oder zumindest ein ganz neues Leben sucht. Zun\u00c3\u00a4chst werden vier Teile gedreht. An der Seite von Shira Haas als Hauptdarstellerin werden wir unter anderem Jeff Wilbusch, bekannt aus Bad Banks, und Amit Rahav sehen. Shira Haas ist \u00e2\u20ac\u0153mehr als gl\u00c3\u00bccklich dar\u00c3\u00bcber, ein Teil dieser einzigartigen, wundersch\u00c3\u00b6n geschriebenen TV-Serie \u00c3\u00bcber eine starke Frau zu sein, die gegen alle Widerst\u00c3\u00a4nde ihre eigene Stimme finden muss.\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 Und auch Regisseurin Maria Schrader freut sich, mit Unorthodox die \u00e2\u20ac\u0153weibliche Emanzipation, Identit\u00c3\u00a4t und Sexualit\u00c3\u00a4t durch das Brennglas der einzigartigen Erlebniswelt einer jungen Frau\u00e2\u20ac\u009d zu erforschen. Schrader hat schon in \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Von der Morgenr\u00c3\u00b6te\u00e2\u20ac\u009d und \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Liebesleben\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Regie gef\u00c3\u00bchrt. Die Serie zieht ihre Inspiration aus dem gleichnamigen Roman von Deborah Feldman. Anna Winger und Alexa Karolinski schrieben die Drehb\u00c3\u00bccher. Das produzierende Studio ist Airlift von Anna Winger, bekannt geworden durch Deutschland 83, 86, 89, Henning Kamm und REAL Film Berlin. Auch Alexa Karolinski ist \u00e2\u20ac\u0153sehr stolz darauf, Deborah Feldmans Buch zum Bewegtbild zu erwecken.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Es wird eine Reise vom \u00e2\u20ac\u0153orthodoxen zum s\u00c3\u00a4kularen Leben\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, die die universelle Sehnsucht nach Gemeinschaft zeigen wird. Unorthodox wird unter anderem ins Englische und Jiddische \u00c3\u00bcbersetzt. Jeff Wilbusch \u00c3\u00bcbrigens hat vor 20 Jahren selbst die Community verlassen, wie er sagt, und spielt nun zum ersten Mal eine ultraorthodoxe Figur.
