Die Grundlage f\u00c3\u00bcr das neue Projekt ist das ber\u00c3\u00bchmte Kartenspiel Magic:The Gathering. Hinter dem Projekt stehen neben Netflix als Plattform Hasbro und der Magic-Verlag Wizards of the Coast. Als Regisseure konnten die Br\u00c3\u00bcder Anthony und Joe Russo gewonnen werden, die erst k\u00c3\u00bcrzlich im Kino mit Avengers:Endgame f\u00c3\u00bcr Aufmerksamkeit sorgten. Als Showrunner wurden Henry Gliro und Jose Molina verpflichtet. In Magic:The Gathering werden die Spieler \u00c3\u00a4hnlich wie die Animeserie Yu-Gi-Oh! Karten verschiedener Kategorien haben, mit denen sie magische Wesen heraufbeschw\u00c3\u00b6ren. Es werden Fallen gelegt und Zauberspr\u00c3\u00bcche geklopft. Die Russo-Br\u00c3\u00bcder zeigen sich erfreut \u00c3\u00bcber das schon in Entwicklung befindliche Projekt: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Wir sind seit langem gro\u00c3\u0178e Fans und Spieler von \u00e2\u20ac\u0161Magic: The Gathering\u00e2\u20ac\u02dc, also ist es f\u00c3\u00bcr uns ein wahres Leidenschaftsprojekt, diese Geschichte durch Animationen zum Leben zu erwecken\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. In der gro\u00c3\u0178en Spielwelt von Magic erlebt man ein gro\u00c3\u0178es Universum mit verschiedenen Ebenen, auch Planes genannt, und vielen Zonen, in denen V\u00c3\u00b6lker mit unterschiedlichen Storys leben. Die Geschichte dieser Planewalker soll in der Animationsserie von Netflix ganz neu erz\u00c3\u00a4hlt werden. Animiert wird Magic:The Gathering als Serie bei Octopie und Bardel Studios, Isaac kraus von Octopie zum Vorhaben: \u00e2\u20ac\u017eUnser Ziel ist es nicht nur, dieses unglaubliche Werk von &#8216;Magic: The Gathering&#8217; f\u00c3\u00bcr eine spannende Geschichte zu nutzen, sondern auch das Medium Animation und die Wahrnehmung von Storytelling durch Animation an ihre Grenzen zu bringen.
