Nun scheint ziemlich sicher, dass es auch eine dritte Season geben wird. Amazon Prime Video und AXN befinden sich in den letzten Z\u00c3\u00bcgen der Entscheidung \u00c3\u00bcber eine Fortsetzung mit der FBI-Agentin Emily Byrne und ihrer mysteri\u00c3\u00b6sen Geschichte. In Absentia geht es um die totgeglaubte FBI-Agentin Emily Byrne, die eines Tages doch noch lebend aufgefunden wird. Allerdings erinnert sie sich nicht an die Ereignisse der vergangenen sechs Jahre. Ihr Mann hatte die Hoffnung aufgegeben und eine neue Partnerin gefunden. Emilys Sohn lebt bei den beiden und tastet sich nur schwer wieder an seine leibliche Mutter heran. Diese ist derweil nicht nur auf der Suche nach ihrer Vergangenheit, sondern auch nach einem Serienkiller, der vielleicht f\u00c3\u00bcr ihre Entf\u00c3\u00bchrung verantwortlich ist. Doch es gibt Schwierigkeiten, denn nicht ein anderer Killer, sondern Emily steht in Verdacht, all diese Morde begangen zu haben. Hat sie ihre Entf\u00c3\u00bchrung nur inszeniert? Geschrieben wird die spannende Serie Absentia von Matt Cirulnick. Das Drehbuch f\u00c3\u00bcr den Piloten hat Gaia Violo verfasst. In der ersten Staffel f\u00c3\u00bchrte Oded Ruskin allein Regie, mittlerweile wird er aber von weiteren Regisseuren unterst\u00c3\u00bctzt. Maria Feldman, bekannt durch Homeland und Julie Glucksman sind als Producer f\u00c3\u00bcr die Serie verantwortlich. In der Hauptrolle seht ihr Stana Katic, die durch ihre Rolle als Polizistin in der Serie Castle bekannt geworden ist und sich genau in ihrem Wohlf\u00c3\u00bchlgenre bewegt.
