Von einem der Vorhaben h\u00c3\u00b6rt man nun, dass es so langsam vorw\u00c3\u00a4rts geht. Shantaram, die Verfilmung des Romans von Gregory David Roberts soll in Australien gedreht werden. Der Beginn der Dreharbeiten soll schon im Oktober erfolgen. Wer allerdings dann vor der Kamera steht, ist weiterhin noch nicht klar bzw. verr\u00c3\u00a4t Apple diesbez\u00c3\u00bcglich nichts. Die Serie, die von Paramount Television und Anonymus Content produziert wird, hat den gleichnamigen Roman von Autor Gregory David Roberts zur Basis. Dieser erz\u00c3\u00a4hlt das au\u00c3\u0178ergew\u00c3\u00b6hnliche Leben von Shantaram, dem die Flucht aus einem Gef\u00c3\u00a4ngnis im australischen Melbourne gelang. Er hat keinen Kontakt zu seiner Familie und seinen Freunden, und sucht ein neues Leben in der Unterwelt Indiens. \u00c3\u0153ber zehn Jahre lebt der heroinabh\u00c3\u00a4ngige Bankr\u00c3\u00a4uber hier in den Slums und Bars. Das Buch von Roberts ist nicht frei erfunden, sondern der Autor schreibt hier \u00c3\u00bcber seine eigenen Erfahrungen. Er wurde 1978 zu 23 Jahren Gef\u00c3\u00a4ngnis verurteilt, denn er beging 24 bewaffnete Raub\u00c3\u00bcberf\u00c3\u00a4lle auf Banken, Gesch\u00c3\u00a4fte und Bausparkassen. Sein Motiv oft einfach nur seine Gier nach Heroin, von dem er abh\u00c3\u00a4ngig wurde, nachdem seine Frau sich scheiden lie\u00c3\u0178 und er das Sorgerecht f\u00c3\u00bcr seine Tochter verloren hat. In \u00c3\u00bcber 39 Sprachen wurde das Buch \u00c3\u00bcbersetzt und mehr als 6 Millionen mal verkauft. Ab Oktober sollen nun die ersten zehn Folgen der Serie produziert werden.Einige Szenen, die eigentlich in Mumbai spielen, werden dabei in Victoria gedreht. Dies freut auch den Minister f\u00c3\u00bcr Kreativwirtschaft der Stadt, Martin Foley: Der viktorianische Minister f\u00c3\u00bcr Kreativwirtschaft Martin Foley sagte: \u00e2\u20ac\u017eWir freuen uns, dass Shantaram unseren Staat und das Talent unserer Kreativen einem Millionenpublikum auf der ganzen Welt pr\u00c3\u00a4sentieren wird.
