April das Spin-off zu Penny Dreadful, Penny Dreadful; City of Angels, auf dem US-Sender Showtime startet, werden die Fans in regelm\u00c3\u00a4\u00c3\u0178igen Abst\u00c3\u00a4nden mit kleinen Vorschau-Videos gelockt. Nun kam ein weiterer Teaser heraus, in dem Darstellerin Natalie Dorner eine t\u00c3\u00b6dliche Prophezeiung verk\u00c3\u00bcndet. D\u00c3\u00a4monin Magda sch\u00c3\u00bcrt Existenz\u00c3\u00a4ngste, denn das Ende von allem scheint nicht mehr fern zu sein. Und das, obwohl die Serie noch nicht einmal angefangen hat. Penny Dreadful ist nicht nur insgesamt im Universum der Mutterserie angesiedelt, sondern setzt auch deren Handlung fort. John Logan ist wiederum der Showrunner und somit kann man sicher sein, dass der Spirit von Penny Dreadful auch im Spin-off \u00c3\u00bcber allem schwebt. Die neue Serie spielt nur 40 Jahre nach dem Original und so verwundert es auch nicht, dass Rory Kinnear, der Frankensteins Monster spielte, auch jetzt wieder mit an Bord ist. Er spielt einen deutschen Kinderarzt und Nazi. Fans hoffen auf viele Crossover-Momente. Penny Dreadful: City of Angels wird sich mehr an mexikanisch-amerikanischer Folklore orientieren und nicht so sehr in viktorianischer Romantik verlieren. Eine zentrale Figur wird dabei die G\u00c3\u00b6ttin Santa Muerte spielen, der Schwester von D\u00c3\u00a4monin Magda, deren Darstellerin uns die d\u00c3\u00bcstere Prophezeiung \u00c3\u00bcberbringt. Magda kann jede Gestalt annehmen und bringt ordentlich Chaos in die Welt. Der junge Polizist Tiago Vega ist eine weitere Hauptfigur. Er muss zusammen mit seinem Mentor einen Mord aufkl\u00c3\u00a4ren. \u00c3\u0153ber allem schwebt der Geist der neuen Zeit, einmal in Form von technischem Fortschritt, einmal in Form von Rassismus und Religion, und ein anderes Mal in Form von Politik.
