In der Serie begleiten die Fans ein paar echt verr\u00c3\u00bcckte Comic-Liebhaber durch ein unglaubliches Abenteuer. \u00c3\u0153ber einen prophetischen Graphic Novel kommen die Au\u00c3\u0178enseiter einer \u00c3\u00bcblen Verschw\u00c3\u00b6rung auf die Spur. Mittendrin in dem Treiben ist auch die Hauptfigur des Comics, Jessica Hyde, hinter deren starker Fassade ein wirklich zerbrechliches M\u00c3\u00a4dchen schlummert. Die erste Staffel zeigte schon, dass es nichts Vergleichbares in Stil, Musik und Geschichte gibt. Doch trotzdem macht Amazon dem Treiben der Comic-Fans und -helden ein Ende. Nach nur einer Staffel wird die Serie Utopia auch schon wieder abgesetzt. Man k\u00c3\u00b6nnte meinen, auf der Geschichte liegt ein Fluch. Es ist n\u00c3\u00a4mlich ganz und gar nicht die erste Umsetzung des Stoffes von Gillian Flynn. Die Serie Utopia (2013) lief schon einmal auf Channel 4 und kam gar nicht so schlecht an. Dennoch kam das Aus nach zwei Staffeln mit insgesamt 12 Folgen. Lange schon brodelte es bei HBO und man wollte eine US-Remake mit dem Meister der Regiekunst, David Fincher, herausbringen. Gesagt, getan. Doch die Vorstellungen Finchers sprengten den Budget-Rahmen bei HBO und die Entwicklung wurde aufgegeben. Aber Gillian Flynn hat nicht aufgegeben und die Serie gemeinsam mit den Amazon Studios und Endemol Shine North America\/Kudos noch einmal wiederbelebt. Leider erging es auch dem dritten Anlauf wie den anderen beiden Versuchen, diesen so anderen Stoff an die Menschen zu bringen. Verhaltene Reaktionen von Zuschauern und Kritikern sollten das nun vielleicht endg\u00c3\u00bcltige Ende von Utopia besiegeln. Ich pers\u00c3\u00b6nlich kann das gar nicht nachvollziehen, denn selbst als Nicht-Comic-Fan fand ich die Umsetzung des Stoffes einfach gro\u00c3\u0178artig.
