Die Serie zeichnet ein Portrait des Killers von den Morden bis hin zu seiner jahrelangen Flucht vor den staatlichen Organen, die ihn zur Rechenschaft ziehen wollen. Wir gehen davon aus, dass The Serpent Staffel 2 nie auf Netflix kommen wird. Nicht ausgeschlossen allerdings ist, dass, bei entsprechendem Erfolg der Dokuserie auch andere M\u00c3\u00b6rder, Killer und Verbrecher im Rahmen einer lockeren Serie ebenfalls ihre Portraits bekommen. Aber dann kann man nicht mehr von Staffel 2 von The Serpent sprechen. <b>Davon handelt die Serie The Serpent<\/b> Die Serie The Serpent, auf Deutsch Die Schlange, beruht auf wahren Ereignissen aus den 1970er Jahren. Der Trickbetr\u00c3\u00bcger und M\u00c3\u00b6rder Charles Sobhraj, gespielt von Tahar Rahim, steht im Mittelpunkt der acht Folgen, die Streamingdienst Netflix hat produzieren lassen. Charles reist in den Jahren 1975 und 1976 als Edelsteinh\u00c3\u00a4ndler getarnt durch Nepal, Indien und Thailand. Begleitet wird er von seiner Freundin Marie-Andr\u00c3\u00a9e Leclerc, gespielt von Jenna Coleman, die es faustdick hinter den Ohren hat. Die beiden begehen eine ganze Reihe von Straftaten, die in einer Serie von Morden gipfeln. Charles ist n\u00c3\u00a4mlich der Hauptverd\u00c3\u00a4chtige in den Mordf\u00c3\u00a4llen an mehreren jungen Reisenden in den Gebieten seiner Trickbetr\u00c3\u00bcgereien. Die Ermordeten befanden sich auf dem ber\u00c3\u00bchmten Hippie-Trail und wollten ihr Leben noch eine Weile genie\u00c3\u0178en. Kaum ist die Polizei hinter Charles her, beginnt seine jahrelange Flucht rund um die Welt. Immer wieder k\u00c3\u00b6nnen er und seine Begleiterin entkommen. Mit der Zeit setzt Charles eine ganze Verkettung von Ereignissen in Gang, sodass er zur meistgesuchten Person bei Interpol wird. Auf fast allen Kontinenten bestehen Haftbefehle gegen ihn und so langsam gehen im die Fluchtm\u00c3\u00b6glichkeiten aus. Die Serie The Serpent ist eine Koproduktion zwischen der BBC und dem Streamingdienst Netflix. Gedreht wurde vor allem in Thailand. Nach einem Stopp der Dreharbeiten im M\u00c3\u00a4rz 2020 konnten diese dann im August wieder aufgenommen werden. Jetzt drehte man in England, sodass die Serie Die Schlange dann auch am 1.
