Das erste Mal machte der sp\u00c3\u00a4tere Star-Designer von sich Reden, als Jackie Kennedy seine Pillbox-H\u00c3\u00bcte ausf\u00c3\u00bchrte. Nach und nach kamen neue Kreationen hinzu. Halston designte irgendwann auch f\u00c3\u00bcr M\u00c3\u00a4nner und pr\u00c3\u00a4gte vor allem den Stil in den Nachtclubs und Diskotheken in New York. Wer etwas auf sich hielt, trug in den Siebzigern auf Partys Haslton. Halston war mit Andy Warhol befreundet, kannte Liza Minelli sehr gut, die seine Kreationen auch gern trug. Halstons Karriere ging steil nach oben, bis eines Tages ein feindliches \u00c3\u0153bernahmeangebot sein Imperium von einem Tag auf den anderen zusammenkrachen lie\u00c3\u0178. Das Verheerende an diesem Angebot war, dass Roy Halston Frowick das wertvollste genommen werden sollte, was er hatte, seinen Namen Halston. Es wird nicht ganz so sex- und drogenlastig, aber der Dokumentationsfilm zeigt in einer gut gemachten Form den Aufstieg von Alexander McQueen vom einfachen N\u00c3\u00a4her zu einem popul\u00c3\u00a4ren Fashion-Designer und Vision\u00c3\u00a4r.
