Genauso wie der Film nimmt die Serie das Thema Queer auf, denn Victor erlebt die Pubert\u00c3\u00a4t gleich doppelt so schwer wie andere Teenager. Schwul und noch ohne Coming-Out ist er auf dem Weg sich selbst zu finden. Hulu hat nun best\u00c3\u00a4tigt, dass Love, Victor auch noch eine dritte Staffel bekommt. Das offene Ende der zweiten Staffel bekommt dann hoffentlich in den neuen Folgen seine Aufl\u00c3\u00b6sung, denn Victor muss sich entscheiden\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 Victor steht im Mittelpunkt der Serie. Er kommt als neuer Sch\u00c3\u00bcler an die Creekwood High School, an der auch der Film basierend auf dem Roman \u00e2\u20ac\u017eNur drei Worte\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 von Becky Albertalli spielt. Hier trifft er in der ersten Staffel den ber\u00c3\u00bchmten Simon aus dem Film, denn Victor wird \u00c3\u00a4hnliches durchmachen wie der Film-Simon. Victor ist schwul, aber er scheut sich noch vor dem Coming Out, seiner Familie gegen\u00c3\u00bcber, aber vor allem auch wegen der Furcht vor den Reaktionen in seinem neuen Umfeld. In der zweiten Staffel dann kommt Victor mit Benji zusammen. Der lebt offen schwul und Victor bekommt neue Probleme. Seine Familie hat von seinem Coming-Out erfahren. Seine Mutter kann sich nur schwer damit anfreunden, seiner Ex-Freundin hat es das Herz gebrochen und hinzukommt, dass Victor als Spitzensportler and er Creekwood High irgendwie einfach nicht schwul sein \u00e2\u20ac\u017edarf\u00e2\u20ac\u0153.
