Jahrhundert die Strippen, wenn es um die Entwicklung der Welt geht. Seit der Pest soll The Pentverate die F\u00c3\u00a4den in der Hand halten. Eine Stimme i Trailer erz\u00c3\u00a4hlt die Geschichte des Entstehens des Geheimbundes: &#8220;Im Jahr 1347 erkannten f\u00c3\u00bcnf gelehrte M\u00c3\u00a4nner, dass die Schwarze Pest durch Fl\u00c3\u00b6he auf Ratten verursacht wurde. Die Kirche hielt die Pest jedoch f\u00c3\u00bcr eine Strafe Gottes und bezeichnete diese f\u00c3\u00bcnf M\u00c3\u00a4nner als Ketzer. Also gr\u00c3\u00bcndeten sie einen wohlwollenden Geheimbund, um das Weltgeschehen zu beeinflussen, bekannt als das Pentaverat&#8221; F\u00c3\u00bcnf M\u00c3\u00a4nnern stecken also dahinter, und einer fehlt zurzeit. Ken wird angesprochen, Mitglied zu werden und nutzt diese Chance f\u00c3\u00bcr seine eigenen Zwecke. Wird es Ken gelingen, den Geheimbund auffliegen zu lassen, oder bringen seine Ermittlungen die Welt nur noch mehr in Bedr\u00c3\u00a4ngnis, gar in extreme Gefahr? <b> Hintergrundinfos zur Serie The Pentaverate<\/b> Die Miniserie, ja, es gibt keine zweite Staffel von The Pentaverate, hat Mike Myers h\u00c3\u00b6chstpers\u00c3\u00b6nlich entwickelt. Die Grundidee findet sich im Film Liebling, h\u00c3\u00a4ltst du mal die Axt aus dem Jahr 1993. Hier sah man Mike Myers in einer Doppelrolle. In The Pentaverate ist er gleich in mindestens acht Rollen zu sehen, denn er spielt nicht nur den Kanadier, sondern auch die meisten der weiteren Hauptcharaktere und vor allem die Mitglieder des Geheimbundes. Allein das macht die Serie schon unglaublich interessant und sehenswert. Sechs Episoden sind aus der Idee entstanden, die allesamt von Regisseur Tim Kirkby umgesetzt wurden.
