August kommt der Streifen beim Streamingdienst des Shopping-Riesen. Jetzt stimmt ein Trailer schon mal auf das actiongeladene Erlebnis ein. Stallone wird nicht dabei nicht nur einfach zum Action-Star, sondern entwickelt \u00c3\u00bcbermenschliche Kr\u00c3\u00a4fte, um seine Stadt zu besch\u00c3\u00bctzen. Allerdings muss daf\u00c3\u00bcr der Held auch erstmal aus seinem Exil gelockt werden. Eigentlich wollte der Samariter ja nicht noch mal ran, aber seine Stadt droht, im Chaos zu versinken. Ein Grund, doch wieder aktiv zu werden. Zun\u00c3\u00a4chst lebt Mr. Smith, gespielt von Sylvester Stallone, friedlich und unauff\u00c3\u00a4llig in einer ganz normalen Wohnung. Aber der dreizehnj\u00c3\u00a4hrige Sam Cleary hat eine Vermutung, wenn es um Mr. Smith geht. Ist das nicht der Superheld, der vor zwanzig Jahren mit Superkr\u00c3\u00a4ften ausgestattet der Samariter der Stadt Granite City war? Aber eigentlich starb der doch in einem Lagerhaus als er sich mit dem Superschurken Nemesis einen Kampf auf Leben und Tod stellte. The Samaritan wurde zumindest f\u00c3\u00bcr tot erkl\u00c3\u00a4rt, lebt er doch noch? Toll w\u00c3\u00a4re das, denn Granite City kann einen Samariter durchaus wieder gebrauchen. Die Kriminalit\u00c3\u00a4t steigt und steigt, die Stadt droht, im Chaos zu versinken. Sam will Mr. Smith aka The Samaritan aus seinem Versteck locken und Granite City retten. Wird es gelingen, oder ist Mr. Smith doch einfach nur Mr. Smith? Neben Stallone sehen wir Javon Walton als Sam Cleary in den Hauptrollen. Mit dabei sind auch Pilou Asbaek, bekannt aus Game of Thrones, Dascha Polanco von Orange ist he New Black und Moises Arias von Hannah Montana. Im Regiesessel sa\u00c3\u0178 Julius Avery.
