September mit der vierten Staffel der Serie The Handmaids Tale auf Amazon Prime vergn\u00c3\u00bcgen, startet in den USA am 14. September schon die f\u00c3\u00bcnfte Season. Gerade rechtzeitig vor dem Start verk\u00c3\u00bcndet der Streamingdienst Hulu nun auch die sechste Staffel der Erfolgsserie. Jedoch wird die Geschichte von June in dieser dann auch zu Ende erz\u00c3\u00a4hlt. Eine siebte Season wird es nicht geben. Aber so ganz vorbei ist es danach dennoch nicht. Hulu best\u00c3\u00a4tigte im Zuge der Verl\u00c3\u00a4ngerung auch eine Fortsetzungsserie. Bruce Miller arbeitet schon jetzt an einem Spin-off. Es basiert auf dem Roman The Testaments von Margaret Atwood und spielt ein paar Jahre nach den Ereignissen von The Handmaids Tale. Die f\u00c3\u00bcnfte Staffel beschriebt Huu folgenderma\u00c3\u0178en: &#8220;June muss die Konsequenzen f\u00c3\u00bcr die Ermordung von Commander Waterford tragen, w\u00c3\u00a4hrend sie darum k\u00c3\u00a4mpft, ihre Identit\u00c3\u00a4t und ihr Ziel neu zu definieren. Die verwitwete Serena versucht, ihr Profil in Toronto zu sch\u00c3\u00a4rfen, w\u00c3\u00a4hrend der Einfluss von Gilead nach Kanada vordringt. Commander Lawrence arbeitet mit Nick und Tante Lydia zusammen, w\u00c3\u00a4hrend er versucht, Gilead zu reformieren und an Macht zu gewinnen.
