Das mittlerweile f\u00c3\u00bcnfte Spin-off steht anscheinend schon in den Startl\u00c3\u00b6chern, denn AMC pr\u00c3\u00a4sentierte nun den ersten Trailer zu The Walking Dead: Dead City. Die Reise geht in ein postapokalyptisches New York, in dem sich die Erzfeinde Maggie und Negan begegnen. Die neue Serie rund um die beiden beliebten Charaktere wurde unter dem Arbeitstitel Isle of Dead entwickelt. Und genau um eine Insel in New York geht es auch, n\u00c3\u00a4mlich auf Manhattan. Die Insel ist schon lange vom Festland abgeschnitten und sollte mal als Zufluchtsort dienen. Doch mittlerweile herrscht Chaos und Verbrechen, niemand ist hier sicher. Wie Negan und Maggie dahingekommen sind, verr\u00c3\u00a4t der Trailer noch nicht, aber die ersten Bilder scheinen zu zeigen, dass mit The Walking Dead: Dead City tats\u00c3\u00a4chlich mal eine erfrischendere Weiterf\u00c3\u00bchrung des Stoffes zu kommen scheint, die dem Franchise mal wieder etwas Drive gibt. In der Beschreibung der Serie hei\u00c3\u0178t es unter anderem: &#8220;Die zerfallende Stadt ist voll von Toten und EinwohnerInnen, die New York City zu ihrer eigenen Welt voller Anarchie, Gefahr, Sch\u00c3\u00b6nheit und Terror gemacht haben.&#8221; Action, menschliche Abgr\u00c3\u00bcnde, ein Portion Grusel \u00e2\u20ac\u201c das passt dann schon. Die sechs Folgen der ersten Season werden im n\u00c3\u00a4chsten Jahr, also 2023 bei AMC an den Start gehen. Das genaue Datum ist noch nichtbekannt. In Deutschland wird The Walking Dead: Dead City dann wahrscheinlich bei Amazon Prime Video zu sehen sein.
