Das zeigt, dass Keri Russel als US-Botschafterin in London die Zuschauenden wohl \u00c3\u00bcberzeugt hat. Die Zahlen sprechen f\u00c3\u00bcr sich, denn in den ersten sieben Tagen haben immerhin 57,48 Millionen Menschen eingeschaltet. Hierzulande l\u00c3\u00a4uft die Serie unter dem Titel Diplomatische Beziehungen, falls ihr noch nicht reingeschaut habt. Die neuen Folgen werden wohl im n\u00c3\u00a4chsten Jahr dann beim Streamingdienst zu sehen sein. In der Eigenproduktion The Diplomat spielt die Golden-Globe-Gewinnerin Keri Russel die Agentin Kate Wyler, die f\u00c3\u00bcr eine Mission als US-Botschafterin nach London geschickt wird. Hier soll sie in einer angespannten politischen Situation die Gem\u00c3\u00bcter bes\u00c3\u00a4nftigen. Der Grund f\u00c3\u00bcr diese Mission ist ein versenktes britisches Kriegsschiff. Fast die gesamte Besatzung kam dabei ums Leben. Gro\u00c3\u0178britannien macht den Iran daf\u00c3\u00bcr verantwortlich, aber die USA wollen als Schlichter die eskalierende Situation entspannen. Die acht Folgen der Auftaktstaffel endeten mit einem fiesen Cliffhanger, der ja nun zum Gl\u00c3\u00bcck im Jahr 2024 aufgel\u00c3\u00b6st werden d\u00c3\u00bcrfte.
