Guy Ritchie hat sich seinen Gangsterfilm The Gentlemen noch einmal vorgenommen und bringt erstmals nach 24 Jahren wieder eine Serie auf die Bildschirme. Diese hei\u00c3\u0178t wie der Film mit Hugh Grant und Matthew McConaughey aus dem Jahr 2020 The Gentlemen und hat auch wieder ein paar gro\u00c3\u0178e Namen im Cast im Gep\u00c3\u00a4ck. Aber die Serie wird ein bisschen anders als der Film, ein Trailer zeigt, wie der Regisseur und Drehbuchautor den alten Stoff neu aufzieht. In der achtteiligen Serie steht Eddie Homiman, gespielt von Theo James, im Mittelpunkt. Er erbt das Landgut seines Vaters. Doch hier wachsen nicht nur Mais und R\u00c3\u00bcben, sondern auch jede Menge Hanf. Kein Nutzhanf, nein, Cannabis ist das Hauptgesch\u00c3\u00a4ft des Vaters, wie Eddie, der eigentlich ein Blauhelm der UN ist, feststellen muss. Nun muss ich auch der neue Duke of Halstead mit zwielichtigen Gestalten und den Machenschaften des Cannabis-Universums, f\u00c3\u00bcr das sein Vater t\u00c3\u00a4tig war, besch\u00c3\u00a4ftigen. Eddie ist fest entschlossen, seine Familie da herauszuholen, doch Boss Bubby Glass und vor allem seine Tochter Susie sind harte N\u00c3\u00bcsse. Und dann entdeckt Eddie auch noch, dass sein Bruder Millionen an Schulden hat und ebenfalls tief in dubiose Kreise verstrickt ist. Eddie muss im Schnellverfahren lernen, wer Freund und Feind ist, wem er trauen kann und eine Strategie entwickeln, sich und seine Familie aus diesem fiesen kriminellen Gewirr zu befreien, ohne dass alle alles verlieren.
