Diese neue Serie soll den Titel Marseille tragen und die Hauptrolle soll hierbei der bekannte franz\u00c3\u00b6sische Schauspieler Gerard Depardieu \u00c3\u00bcbernehmen. Marseille w\u00c3\u00a4re die erste franz\u00c3\u00b6sische Eigenproduktion aus dem Hause Netflix. In der achtteiligen Serie Marseille, soll sich alles um den B\u00c3\u00bcrgermeister Robert Taro drehen. Taro bekleidet bereits seit vielen Jahren das Amt des B\u00c3\u00bcrgermeisters einer Stadt in S\u00c3\u00bcdfrankreich und muss sich nun gegen einen J\u00c3\u00bcngeren, der ihm seinen Posten streitig macht, beweisen. Bei Merseille w\u00c3\u00bcrde es sich somit um keine Kopie des erfolgreichen House of Cards handeln. Trotz dessen, dass die Produktion in Frankreich unter der Leitung der beiden Franzosen Samuel Benchetrit und Florent-Emilion Siri stattfinden soll, findet die neue Serie nur wenig Anklang in Frankreich. Europa 1 \u00c3\u00a4u\u00c3\u0178ert Bef\u00c3\u00bcrchtungen, wonach die neue Serie durch die Einmischung von Netflix an Qualit\u00c3\u00a4t einb\u00c3\u00bc\u00c3\u0178en k\u00c3\u00b6nnte.
