Come on, let’s travel to 1955 Hollywood. Why, you ask. We are going to meet an iconic character. She is the most beautiful girl in Beverly Hills and the Queen of Bronson Alcott High School, but a clueless teen. Yes, it’s the legendary “Cher Horowitz” from the “Clueless“ movie. This article is written in tribute to the movie’s soon-to-be celebration of 30 years of grand success and classic idealism.
Recap of Movie Plot
Cher isn’t just like any other wealthy teenager in Beverly Hills. She breathes beauty, she talks stylish, and walks in fashion. Everything about her is so high-class Hollywood. Her life gets into chaos when her Debate professor gives her a C Plus. Coming from a reputed Litigation family, she negotiates her way into matchmaking and turns into an A-minus.
On the way, she believes she has godly cupid tingling senses and changes the new clueless student into her version. However, all turns out to be disastrous because the world indeed is fine, but our protagonist, Cher, is the one who’s clueless about anything but everything. She soon realized her love and confessed to her not-so-stepbrother Josh. Finally, a happy ending, As-If.
What’s so special about her
If you are seeking out her fashion influence, then our heroine Alicia Silverstone is eye candy. She is what the movie is. From a futuristic computerized wardrobe to rash driving her Jeep, she has everything to offer. The fashion game of this movie is so classic that it’s ideal and remarkable to today’s Gen Z as well.
The plot of this movie is convincing in its character development across all roles. So there won’t be one point where you can get bored. Also, this movie is Bollywoodized and released as “Hey Aisha,” starring Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol. It’s a good take and a new age rom-com type of movie, but it won’t be comparable to the original.
Rewatch or Skip
The movie is home to eminent fashion. I listed some of her outfits in my today’s wishlist because they are so in mood and right vibe for young girls. Also, many notable lines like “As If,” “ You’re a virgin who can’t drive,” etc., come from here. Likewise, the background of old American clichés is a wonderful view to enjoy. Thus, it’s an evergreen movie that has great rewatch value, and I highly recommend that viewers celebrate the thirty years of the Clueless Movie together.
